Millennium Park
This remarkable public park is located in Chicago’s Loop neighborhood and opened to the public in 2004. What took seven years to complete, the park was designed to commemorate and celebrate the third millennium in style. This 24.5 acre park, civic center, and cultural attraction is just south of 360 Chicago on the city’s lakefront. Located at 201 E. Randolph Street, it lies adjacent to they city’s famed Grant Park and is accessible off of Michigan Avenue south of the Chicago River.
While it is one of Chicago’s newer marvels, it has certainly become one of the Midwest’s most sought-after attractions and is a must-visit locale during a day downtown Chicago. Perfect for families or couples, Millennium Park offers a harmonious blend of walkable gardens and flower-lined trails, cultural attractions, free concerts and stunning public art, Millennium Park is a prominent civic center that can be enjoyed year-round. Offering free admission, the park features the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Cloud Gate (famously known as “The Bean”), the Crown Fountain, and many festivals including Chicago Gourmet each fall.
