Howard Brown Health is a vital and accessible Chicago Health Center for LGBTQIA youth and adults alike. For the month of June, 360 CHICAGO is giving back to Howard Brown by taking donations online at 360 CHICAGO. Along with the impact of accessible healthcare and safe spaces for this community is the Brave Space Alliance. The Brave Space Alliance is the first Black led, trans-led LGBTQ+ Center located on the South Side. This center is focused and dedicated to providing resources and programming for the south and west side queer communities, to ensure they are empowered and supported always.
Progress is made every day, but the fight is far from over. Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund is an civil rights organization focusing on the LGBTQIA community as well as those living with HIV/AIDS. Their mission equality through impact litigation and work in public policy. You can also support the AIDS Foundation of Chicago. This foundation continues to suppport the cuase and fight the effect of the disease's long history in the community. It is important to recognize the profound impact of LGBTQIA history, and those we have lost along the way.

Yayoi Kusama's experience Let's Survive Forever is arguably the most popular experience at WNDR Museum! The Infinity Mirrored Room immerses the visitor completely in stainless steel mirrors and reflective balls stemming from the ceiling and settled on the flooring. Kusama's work as an artist started in the Vietnamese era and her creative expression spans over six decades. Completing her first mirrored room in 1965, she converted her medium from paintings and sculptures to illusions of infinite space.
Since then, there have been over twenty amazing rooms by Yayoi Kusama; the WNDR Museum is currently the only open room in this country! First opening in the 1970s, this trans inclusive feminist book store offered not only resources and tools for transformative literature but also the safe space for LGBTQIA readers and visitors alike. It is one of the largest feminist bookstores in the United States with over 20,000 books by and about women.
Visitors can purchase not just books but buttons, journals, cards, and posters; and they can participate in discussions, readings and events as well. Something new on our list is a digital storefront. Founder Omtola Akinbiyi took her inspiration for Bon Femmes from both a lifelong excitement for the creative arts and witnessing an underrepresentation of women as creatives.
